What is Radiesse?
Today there are several injectable wrinkle treatments on the market for you to use to get a more youthful, refreshed appearance. The RADIESSE dermal filler offered by Dr. Ladie Araña-Domondon is wonderful for mild to moderate lines and wrinkles on the face and for correcting volume loss in the hands. Patients who don't have time for repeat appointments prefer the long-lasting results (1 – 2 years) of RADIESSE. Using microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite in a water-based gel, RADIESSE fills and softens the look of your face without the time and expense of surgery. RADIESSE is approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to safely and effectively contour your facial features. It may be used in tandem with other injectable treatments (wrinkle relaxers and fillers) for a custom procedure plan to rejuvenate your skin. Look several years younger and improve your self-image with Radiesse injectable wrinkle treatments at Concordia Star Medical Aesthetics in Puyallup, WA.
Who is a Candidate for RAdiesse?
Adults who are in good overall health and want to correct their mild to moderate facial lines and wrinkles are ideal candidates for RADIESSE treatments. It can treat smile lines, marionette lines, pre-jowl folds, chin wrinkles, and lines that form in the corners of the lips. RADIESSE is also designed to correct age-related volume loss in the hands to help them look fuller and younger-looking. You shouldn't have this treatment if you are allergic to lidocaine or any ingredients in RADIESSE. Make sure to talk to our team about any allergies (whether mild or severe) and any medical disorders or conditions. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, may be pregnant, or are trying to conceive in the next 1 – 2 years, you should not use RADIESSE injections.
"i’ve actually only been here for the hydrafacial (my mom got one too) but our experience was nothing below amazing!! super friendly, helpful staff and along with our facials, we got recommendations for products & overall care. i wasn’t pressured into buying anything at all but im very glad i decided to because i’ve never felt or looked better in my own skin, even a year after i got the facial. i got the pictured face pads as well as the elta MD tinted sunscreen and they’ve made the world of a difference in addition to my typical care routine. they’re on the pricier side of course, but dont be scared to invest in your skin!! i hope to be back for other services and work with the amazing dr domondon, who i’ve met at other events, soon :)"- A.D. / Yelp / Jun 29, 2022
"I have recently been treated by Dr. Domondon and I am very pleased with the results. She is definitely one of the best and I will definitely go back for more!!!🤩"- M.B. / Google / Jun 15, 2022
"Dr. Domondon is the best! I needed to keep my lip filler very natural looking for my job and she perfected that while still giving me the fullness and shape I wanted for my lips. She’s taken the time to build my filler to where I want it without anything drastic. I would recommend her to anyone, beginner or seasoned with cosmetic procedures! I’ve been going to this office for almost a year and I still get excited for every appointment!"- T.W. / Google / May 11, 2022
"I loved my experience here. I am almost 50 and have never had fillers or botox. I researched who to go to in and around the puyallup/tacoma area. Dr. Domondon’s name came up and was highly recommended. I am so glad I came to her!! She answered questions and told me what I would need to achieve the look I wanted. I am so happy. Botox is an absolute game changer! I would have done it years ago had I known the dramatic change it would make. I came back for fillers and my experience was great. The staff is wonderful. ❤️❤️❤️"- B.M. / Google / May 06, 2022
"So happy with my visit today with Dr. Domondon! I've been considering lip fillers for years but apprehensive to looking unnatural. I have a bad case of RBF which has worsened with age and gets frustrating with everyone thinking I'm always mad 😅; my small upper lip and natural assymetrical lip line that sometimes looks like a snarl 🤣, seems to make RBF more pronounced. I explained to her my concerns and she was very kind, patient and professional. She was honest in explaining the anatomy and healing process to maintain authentic expectations. She explained things in detail and worked seamlessly with her nurse. Her competence and experience is very apparent. The whole staff was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. Facility is very clean and well maintained. I am on day 0 s/p treatment and I am very pleased with the initial results! I look forward to future results as things settle with the lip fillers. Highly recommend!!"- B. / Google / Apr 29, 2022
How does radiesse work?
RADIESSE dermal injections are performed in one of the treatment rooms at Concordia Star Medical Aesthetics around 30 – 60 minutes after the consultation. To begin the treatment, you will be seated in a relaxed position as the injection sites will be cleaned and marked. Many patients feel tolerable discomfort during the treatment at the initial prick, but if preferred, a numbing agent will be used on the treatment sites. The RADIESSE dose selected at your consultation will be placed in a fine syringe. The marked site of injection will guide the injector to carefully administer RADIESSE into the needed areas. After the treatment is complete, a compress can be held to the treated areas to help reduce bruising and swelling.
What can i Expect after radiesse treatment?
After your treatment, you may have mild swelling, redness, and bruising. This is normal and should last for around a week. These side effects can usually be covered with cosmetics. If the bruising, swelling, or redness lasts longer than ten days or if you are concerned, please contact Concordia Star Medical Aesthetics. Many patients have visible results right away, with final results appearing in a month or so. Your face will look softer, younger, and more radiant. RADIESSE tends to last longer compared to some of the other fillers — about 1 – 2 years. You can talk to our aesthetic team during your consultation about when to schedule your next treatment to touch up your results.
How does RADIESSE compare to other fillers?
Injectable wrinkle fillers each have unique properties and formulas to help with a wide range of issues. Common ingredients in fillers include hyaluronic acid (HA), calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHa), poly-L-lactic acid, and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). RADIESSE uses calcium-based microspheres, which are similar to HA injectable fillers due to the natural ability to stimulate the natural production of collagen. In your consult, your injector will discuss the different choices and assess your facial laxity, tone, and volume to help you decide which one matches your needs.
Are RADIESSE injections painful?
Generally, patients don't need local anesthesia before their injections. However, a local anesthetic can be provided to relieve any concerns you may have. Many patients feel minor and brief discomfort when the needle pierces the skin.
What are the side effects of RADIESSE?
Treatments with RADIESSE rarely produce severe side effects if done by a skilled injector, like the ones at Concordia Star Medical Aesthetics. During your initial consult, talk to your injector about any medications you are taking and if you have any allergies to prevent problems. Immediately following your treatment, you may have mild bruising, redness, numbness, or itching. These are temporary side effects that generally be gone a few days.
