What to Expect During and After Your Halo Laser Treatment
Before your Halo laser treatment, a topical anesthetic will be applied to the skin to slightly numb the area. Our handheld Halo hybrid fractional laser will be used to combine the benefits of an ablative and non-ablative laser to focus the laser’s energy towards the deeper collagen layer of the skin.
Your treatment will last around 30 – 45 minutes, depending on the area being treated and additional in-office time after the procedure should be considered. Redness, swelling, and warmth of the skin should be expected for a day or two post-procedure.
Forty-eight to seventy-two hours after the procedure patients will notice darker spots on the skin in the treatment area, this is the collagen layer of your skin is rejuvenated! Your skin will peel in the treated area and may last from 5 – 7 days and up to two weeks. During the first three months, we suggest a generous supply of sunscreen applied to the treated area.
