How Does the O-Shot® Work?
The O-Shot® procedure is a quick, usually painless, 20-minute non-surgical procedure. The O-Shot procedure begins with a simple blood draw. Then, using a proprietary technique, platelet-rich plasma ( PRP ) is extracted from the blood and injected into the numbed area in the upper vaginal mucosa and near the clitoris area. There is no recovery time and results are almost immediate. The goal is to stimulate the growth of new cells, make the areas more sensitive and tighten the vaginal mucosa. What is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma (or PRP) is your own blood plasma that contains concentrated amounts of platelets and growth factors. The PRP is harvested by placing the tube of blood in a special machine to separate the red cells and plasma.
